Made Summer 2020 of plywood and 2x4s and about 150$ of rods and washers and nuts and bolts. Top roller is 3.25″ abs Pipe filled with 3″disks cut from spruce. its bearing are from a wheelbarrow. Drive roller is a 2″ hard wood dowel covered in rubber gasket material. The bed is 2×3 feet and She can print Lithographs, I’ll be doing some intaglio and litho cuts in the not too distant future. I custom built this in about 2 weeks with no plans on a generous dare\/ fundraiser action by E. Maroon and the Blue Mountain Heart2Heart, Who sold some of my best Lithos (20×30 framed) for upwards of 1000U$D donation to H2H. Though still tinkering with the press and my set up in spring 2021 I plan to continue tinkering and offering more fine art prints, many hand retouched in gouache Released in Signed and Numbered limited editions of 10 to 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

i BOUGHT IT OFF A GUY who salvaged it from a bankruptcy sale in detroit. It had been sitting in a foreclosed architect office for 6 years. after a few years of aggravated hair pulling crying pleading fighting with it it now semit reliably prints THERMAL INK CMYK 300DPI WITH 600 DPI BLACK CHANNEL ?! Since It used to print the giant signs for new rentals it can print on thick textured art papers and even on canvas. ALL MOST ALL PRINTS FROM THE LAMB JET ARE SIGNED BUT DATED IN LIEU OF NUMBERING. The Designjet500<\/strong> was one of the first high res large format printers marketed to designers and photographers. THAT MEANS IT IS NOW OLD AS HECK. a couple years ago I bought 4 ot 5 of every part that might wear out on this thing but the prices on parts for the 500 have gone from “rare collectors”<\/em> prices to “clearance”<\/em> prices in the past couple years so GET LAMB JET PRINT DEALS WHILE YOU CAN.
