Its been A YEAR a Month and a Week, but I finaly got the LAMBJET500 frankensteeened back in to service and IT frikken WORKS

It’s been a wild bunch of years with THE LAMBJET500 refurbish Giclee style Architectural Plans printer But FEBRUARY 2022 It seems to have blown Out it’s 2007 Hewlett Packard Brains! Sadly, the Printing Press is in OK mechanical shape, However the ancient USB toaster that controls it’s print jobs has DIGITAL DEMENTIA and keeps spitting out whole ruined rolls of my expensive paper with cyan splatters all over them and Demanding that I buy it some new 70$ part It doesn’t even need. This isn’t new, for the first few years I Made my prints with my special buddy who hooked me up after midnight at PRINTHOUSE TORONTO but even before they fired him It was $$$ and my Profit on print sales was maybe 2-3 bux, usually less. Then in 2017 the Lambjet500 was saved from the SCRAPYARD and while we made hundreds of great art together It quickly became a MANIC PRINTER NIGHTMARE horror codependent relationship had her print heads replaced about 5 times each, new tailing cable and print assembly drive belts. There have been so many nights with me lit’rally crying and scrubbing CMYK explosions off of her bits with windex.
It’s so frustrating! It’s like watching a LOVER OR A PARENT descend in to drug addiction or senility; JET500 does all kinds of Toxic Behavior and Attention demanding schenanigans alternately throwing temper tantrums and making absurd demands for stuff she’s just gonna trash or ruin in short order so she can demand new things.
EVERY SO OFTEN SHE RANDOMLY POWERS UP AND PRINTS SOMETHING PERFECTLY but that’s her game. TOXIC PRINTING PRESSes do stuff like give you just a little sweetness and then fall short on purpose to keep you hooked and make you dote on them. WELL today in 2022 FEBRUARY her HEADS are now $70 when once they were 20$, now RARE OBSOLETE UNSUPPORTED tech. I may have Picked up over 16 Ink cartridge for her last few years cuz THOSE ARE PRICED TO CLEAR but that’s just the law of diminishing returns. DON’T FALL FOR IT !

Oh there might be a New LambStore Printer in the future? I must admit I’ve been admiring the EPSON 5 color 600dpi for a while. Or that Other newer CANON with the WHITE INK who’s prints come out radiantly bright ? BUT RIGHT NOW i JUST NEED SOME TIME ALONE TO FIGURE STUFF OUT. Besides print sales been dead since Covid so might as well.
